LIFESTYLE / LEGAL INFORMATION

We are committed to providing a safe environment for students at The Journey. To do so, we believe it is our responsibility to seek volunteers who are able to provide healthy, safe and nurturing relationships. In order to achieve this, anyone 18 years or older must complete a background check.

I agree to commit to the following: *

-Pursue The Journey Mission Statement (HELPING ALL STUDENTS WALK WITH GOD).
-Prepare for ministry by maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and seeking to be guided by the Holy Spirit in all matters concerning your ministry.
-Teach consistently with GENESIS’ Mission, Theology and Doctrine. (Small Group Leader)
-Attend GENESIS worship services on a regular basis.
-Support the ministry of The Journey by praying for the students, parents/guardians, and other Team-Members.
-Attend and participate in The Journey Team-Member trainings/gatherings as planned
-Serve in accordance with the policies and procedures of The Journey as outlined in the Journey Guidebook.
-Serve faithfully by arriving early to all Journey gatherings (by 6:20pm for Monday or Wednesday Nights and communicating with the Student Ministries Director 24hrs in advance if you are not able to attend any gathering
-Respond to all communications from the Student Ministries Director and other Team-Members within 24hrs
-Have FUN!
